Descripción: | The general nature of the enigna posed by the Atlantic ridley (Lepidochelys kempi) has been outlined by CARR (2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and by CARR and CALDWELL (7). Although gaps in om understanding of the zoogeography and reproductive life of the ridley remain, slow progress toward a solution is being made. Recent observations along the Mexican shore of the Gulf of Mexico, showing that ridleys nest at least occasionally in Veracruz, together with other bits of relevant information, are discussed below. |
