Descripción:The purpose of this essay was to determine the main semantic categories of Sandino’s thought that Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo used during the 2021 Electoral Campaign, in Nicaragua. To this end, a critical content and discourse análisis was applied, through the qualitative and explanatory-interpretive method. 38 speeches delivered by Ortega and Murillo issued during the electoral campaign and ban were analyzed, categorizing the main semantic structures that belong to Sandino’s thought and contextualizing them in the timing and relevance of its publication. Finally, a critical comment is formulated about the re-semantization found, since it is closely related to an anti-democratic, repressive and authoritarian diatribe of the regime.
