Descripción:This paper arises from a doctoral thesis research that seeks to describe and analyze the elements that make up the social capital of visual artists, as well as their stages in the construction process, what is the role in their professional projection and how this gets linked to the artistic and cultural development of an industrial city like Monterrey. Through a qualitative methodology the social capital of the visual artists graduated from FAV is explored, being the semi-structured interviews the tool to develop the project, which is held under the central argument: FAV is the pillar for the construction of social capital of the visual artists of Monterrey. From this perspective, the main objective of the article is to show a synthesis of the research results, which enables the definition of the aspects of the process of construction of social capital found in visual artists.
