Descripción: | The comedy Assemblywomen (Ἐκκλησιάζουσαι) presents a group of women intending to establish a matriarchal government, which seeks to break the current political system and set up a direct and subversive attack against the patriarchal domination. The text will be analyzed here from three perspectives: the repression and the search for freedom, action and participation in public life, and persuasion for the implementation of a new model of government. |
