Descripción:The objective of this article is to analyze the production and distribution process of the weekly Eco Católico, taking into account the various actors involved. Two basic sources were used for its construction: the copies of this Catholic weekly and the accounting books preserved in the Bernardo Augusto Thiel Archdiocesan Historical Archive. The study concludes that, although distant in time, this weekly followed the trend of «good press», that priests played a decisive role in its production process, while lay people contributed to its distribution, and that it had two basic sources of financing: sales and advertising.
