| Beschreibung: | “Cerro Su’mal” es un texto maya ixil que sirve como aviso a los que transgredan las normas de la comunidad, sean mayas o forasteros. A la vez, es una introducción a la prosodia maya, sus reglas y su función. Su uso del paralelismo marca una literatura que todavía no ha apartado lo sagrado de lo cotidiano. Como tal, la prosodia refleja los códigos de comportamiento social y la cosmovisión maya ixil.Abstract“Cerro Su’mal” is a Maya Ixil text that serces as a warning to those who transgress community norms, whether they be Mayans or foreigners. At the same time, it is an introduction to Mayan prosody, its rules and function. Its use of parallelism marks a literature that still has not separated the sacred from the everyday. As such, prosody reflects codes of social behavior and the Maya Ixil Weltanschuung. |
