বিবরন:Rural and semi-rural regions often lag behind in various areas, including economic and social issues. Previous studies suggest that literacy is a key element in building more resilient territories to effectively address their problems. Therefore, our study aims to determine the level of sustainability literacy in the Santa Engracia Region of Tamaulipas State. We used the KAP (model Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice) and a descriptive, non-experimental quantitative research design. We administered a 55-item instrument to 83 residents. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the community has a greater focus on environmental issues than on social and economic ones, highlighting the need to raise awareness within the region about the necessity of a holistic approach to its problems to achieve sustainable well-being. This work represents a valuable diagnosis for a semi-rural community in northeastern Mexico that can be a precursor to actions by academic or institutional actors that promote sustainable literacy in support of the 2023 Agenda.
