First, I introduce BITRA (Bibliography of Interpreting and Translation), which already (August 2009) comprises over 40,000 records and is operating as a tool for citation measurement. Then, I provide a descriptive and critical overview of research in translation and interpreting, with special reference to the most influential current authors and theoretical lines of thought. |
