Descripción:This article presents an analysis of the composition of the students of the National University Brunca Branch, in order to determine the historical trajectory followed by this population benefited by the regionalization process carried out by this study center. The intention of the analysis is to glimpse, to some extent, the implementation of the democratizing vision of this state university. The central argument of the research is the relationship established between the institutional strengthening of the Branch and the expansion of the educational services it offers. Thus, the growth of Brunca Branch has meant greater access to higher education for vulnerable social groups. The sources used are the Statistics of Higher Education of the National Council of Rectors and statistical data of the Registration Office of the National University.
