| Deskribapena: | This essay tries to define what the humanities are, and their place in the double sphere of the contemporary culture and university. Thus it attempts to determine the relationship the humanities have with the general population on the one hand, and on the other with the university, particularly in the peripheral countries, such as the Latin American, as well as the consequences and possible answers to its present loss of prestige and dignity. |
