Bibliometric research on the influence of transformational leadership on organizational innovation in municipalities during the period 2023

| Deskribapena: | This bibliometric study seeks to determine the existence of studies related to the influence of transformational leadership on organizational innovation at the municipal level, both nationally and internationally. Municipalities are used as a reference scenario, as they play a very important articulating role in local development. The methodology is based on a review of the SCOPUS database, using transformational leadership and organizational innovation as search terms; subsequently, the relationship between these search terms is investigated from the municipal public perspective. Additionally, VOSviewer data is used to identify groupings by authors and research topics focused on two research areas (leadership and organizational innovation). The main finding is that there are no studies (publications) that study the relationship between transformational leadership and its effect on organizational innova- tion at the municipal level, highlighting a research gap. It is concluded that this research could serve as a basis for future work studying this relationship in the management of Costa Rican municipalities. At the same time, the research can serve as input for municipal authorities to conduct studies on the exercise of leadership at the local government level. |
