תיאור:Aim: This essay offers a feminist critique of orthodox macroeconomics, emphasizing how its reliance on aggregate indicators obscures unpaid and care work as well as gender inequalities in data production. Method: Building on a theoretical review and the framework of feminist economics, it examines the limitations of traditional models and economic reports in Central America. Development: Most of these models lack sex-disaggregated statistics and exclude care work from macroeconomic analysis. This absence reinforces gender gaps in labor force participation and wages, constrains the design of inclusive policies, and perpetuates the feminization of poverty. Conclusion: Guidelines are proposed to integrate gender perspectives into data production and public policy formulation, with the aim of advancing towards more equitable and sustainable economic growth.
