Beschreibung:This essay was prepared as part of a reflection of the author in the course “Introduction to Instructional Design” in the Doctoral Program in Education at Nova Southeastern University. The topic addressed arose from the need to compare two approaches to learning theories, behaviorism vs. constructivism and their contributions to pedagogy and consequently to curricular and instructional design. An approximation to the epistemological foundations of behaviorism and constructivism and their connection with the pedagogy used in the area of natural sciences was achieved. Finally,  an analysis of the contribution of both theoretical positions of learning with curriculum design and instructional design in natural sciences was made.
