Descripción:The article analyzes the tradition of the Nazareno de las Promesas, celebrated every Holy Wednesday in Cot de Cartago, As an expression of popular religiosity and tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Through the ritual of tying colored ribbons to the Nazareno, faith is embodied in bodily gestures that articulate promise, pain, hope, and collective memory. The procession transforms public space and everyday time into a shared sacred experience. From an interdisciplinary and lived religion approach, the study shows how the community produces meaning, identity, and historical continuity through symbolic practices transmitted across generations.
