Beschreibung:Public-private partnerships are increasingly becoming a common instrument for the implementation of infrastructure projects and the provision of public services. They also serve to generate public and social value, promote social innovation, strengthen democracy, and encourage sustainable development. To this end, they optimize the resources and actions contributed by the members of the partnership in a collaborative manner, making it possible to achieve results that would otherwise be unattainable or involve excessive risks for the initiative’s promoter. The objectives of this research are, on the one hand, to contribute to the conceptualization of the different types of alliances and to deepen the recognition of the potential and requirements in the formation of alliances for development; on the other hand, learn some lessons from the authors' experience and analysis with APPD and generate some policy implications to be considered when creating and managing these types of partnerships, mainly organized around governance, the role of stakeholders, participation, and process evaluation.
