Description:Organizational climate and leadership are key topics that provide elements of substantial analysis in order to have an efficient operation of educational centers. The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the organizational climate and the leadership styles of school principals from a multifactorial perspective, in public educational centers of the Regional Directorate of Education in Heredia (Costa Rica). This research is developed from a quantitative approach, with an ex post facto and transversal design and a descriptive and correlational scope. A probability sample (n = 657) is used, composed of active teachers in preschool, elementary and secondary levels. A questionnaire was applied to collect data that contains different scales to measure the variables of the study. The results show a positive and significant relationship between organizational climate and transformational leadership style. They highlight the relationship between this style and the component of group cohesion, which is associated with the productivity of work teams.
