Descripción: | A study is provided of the novel El cristiano errante, by Antonio de Irisarri, within its historical context to elucidate the processes of the formation of nation states in Central America and their repercussions on its literature. This novel is an example of satirical literature developed by conservative social sectors as a countermeasure, in the face of the sociopolitical measures that liberal political currents tried to establish in the first stages after independence. |
