Descripción:This article addresses the potential of technical extensionism, when innovation and research processes are integrated into educational associations. The research is based on the results of a descriptive study conducted during the first semester of 2019, in the district of Piedades Sur, San Ramón, specifically in the Educational Cooperative of the Professional Technical High School of the District. The needs of the community and the cooperative are identified with the purpose of adapting the New Mexico State University (NMSU) extension model, which homologates educational cooperatives as extension offices and extension agents are the technical students themselves who, by volunteering or offering permanent community services, could impact community development.
