Descripción:This paper aimed to analyze the processes of patrimonialization and touristification of a case in the Argentinean rural space in light of certain contemporary socio-territorial dynamics. Specifically, the configuration of the Querla Lobo Natural and Historical Reserve (Buenos Aires) is addressed as a heritage and tourist attraction. The study implemented a mixed methodological approach. Interviews were applied to key informants, and questionnaires were administered to community residents and former inhabitants.Likewise, the discourses constructed in normative instruments and media were investigated. One particularly notable finding is the presence of tense situations among the actors involved in the structured heritage and tourism narratives. Although a romantic vision of nature prevails in the narrative, the territorialization of proposals shows a utilitarian use of the wetland, which is “conditioned” for its valorization.
