Descripción:Introduction: This manuscript aims to identify the most representative technical and tactical indicators in balloon matches through exploratory factor analysis. Additionally, it seeks to analyze how these actions influence match outcomes during the Balloon World Cup (BWC). The study comprises 15 matches involving 16 athletes from various continents: six from America, seven from Europe, two from Africa, and one from Asia. Notational analysis was conducted via video analysis by two independent authors. The results reveal that points number, service points, points in zone 1, points in zone 3, forced errors, points in zone 2, high touches, non-service points, unforced errors, and saved actions collectively account for 73.36% of the variance. This suggests a strong association between these technical and tactical aspects and success in the Balloon World Cup. These findings lay the groundwork for future research, which can delve deeper into other variables influencing performance in this discipline, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of balloon sports.
