實物特徵:Introduction. Accelerated soil erosion is one of the major causes of land degradation, which is  exacerbated by human activities that reduce soil cover and increase its density. Objective. This study aimed to quantify and compare the levels of soil erosion between areas with conventional agriculture and natural vegetation at the Potós site located in the rural area of the municipality of Ubajara, Ceará, Brazil. Methodology. To monitor erosion, nine erosion pins were installed in each treatment area, arranged in a triangular mesh pattern, in the direction of the slope and between the rows of plants. Monitoring will occur monthly during 2020 and 2021. Results. Monthly losses range from 0 to 948.73 Mg ha-1 month, with the highest losses occurring in the driest months. The greatest losses were recorded in the year with the highest total accumulated precipitation.
