Methodology of the extension’s integrality diagnosis during the university development

Descripción:This work offers a diagnostic methodology of three crucial dimensions for extension management of the integral university that demands the present and challenges the fragmented management of its substantive processes, a tendency still prevalent. These dimensions are the current state of integration of university substantive processes in vocational training; the development of student capabilities focused on being and serving rather than having, from capabilities approach; and the commitment of the university to the promotion of a culture of peace and equity. The dimensions have an inextricable dialectical relationship and contribute to struggle for a better world. The purpose is to assess the flexibility of the diagnostic methodology of teaching integrality from the extension function to be applied in any university, whose purpose is integral formation of its students and promotion of a culture of peace and respect for diversity. Apart from dissimilar denominations used to refer to university extension, this work contributes to spaces of university extension integrality and professional models. In this research, the study of scientific bibliography, modeling, in-depth interviews, and participant observation were used as fundamental methods. It is concluded that comprehensive training is imposed where the extension cannot be ignored and the necessary promotion of a culture of peace and equity to face new challenges for higher education in pursuit of human development.
