| Diğer Bilgiler: | The objective of this article is to recognize the metropolization process in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil, carrying out a synthesis of studies that contain the theme in analysis. In this way, we start from the discussion about the institutionalization of the metropolitan region of Maceió, initially in 1998 and we seek to reflect, based on the status of capital of the state, the actions that condition the metropolitan process in this place, questioning whether there is this process that catalogs it as a metropolis and what kind of metropolization would that be. We support authors who are dedicated to this discussion and who propose characteristics to define this process in space. We highlight that some activities emerge in Maceió as fundamental to trigger this process and bring the roads that lead to Maceió to the condition of an incomplete metropolis, as it radiates over a space with external contributions, such as, directly, Recife. |
