Disgrifiad:Climate Transparency (TC) is a global association of organizations from most of the G20 countries with the mission of encouraging ambitious climate actions in the G20 countries. Here the main findings of the “Brown to Green Report 2019” are presented and discussed in a summarized and contextualized manner, where a balance is made regarding the position of the G20 countries in terms of the 1.5 ° C indicators and highlights key opportunities to improve climate action in different sectors. Unfortunately, during 2018, global emissions increased again, indicating a need for great efforts to reduce them and stop global warming at 1.5 ° C. Considering the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, for the first time, we will see a decrease in global emissions. The question is: Will we continue with the same pre-pandemic growth style, or have we learned lessons and changed our behavior that leads to a lower emission society?
