Descrizione:Mathematics education has been influenced by certain stereotypes, which have shaped the behavior of students and have affected their performance in this discipline. Research has pointed out relationships of inequality between men and women in the field of Mathematics and it has exposed the responsibility of teachers on the formation of such relationships. For that reason, it is necessary to undertake specific actions to promote gender equality in this discipline, based on the principles of respect, solidarity and mutual support between genders.
