Descripción:The parameters of United States trade policy have undergone a series of drastic changes upon the arrival of President Donald Trump to the White House.  Trump´s protectionist positions, as well as his attacks against the multilateral systems have caused a systematic change in the commercial relations of the North American nation.  The following research paper compiles the positions that preceded the Trump Administration, as well as the priorities and promises made by the current US president in order to protect the national interest of the United States. In the same way, the article reviews the effects and scope of the commercial policy carried out by Donald Trump during the beginning of his administration.
