Descripción:This article analyzes the development processes of the Central American literary field and canon, based on literary criticism focusing on the study of violence. By reviewing certain critical forms, between 1980 and now, an explanation is provided for some of the main mechanisms used to evaluate the intellectual and aesthetic work of regional writers, their links with the social life of Central American countries and the value attributed to their works within national traditions and in the construct of regional letters and particularly relevant speeches.
