Opis:This work analyzes the current challenges and contributions of human rights education in the present context in Latin America. Its approaches are the result of a qualitative and theoretical research, which includes a sociohistorical analysis in the field of education based on documentary and bibliographic data, reports and legislation. To this end, the context of the intersection of several crises, the processes of democratization, the field of education and memory and the formation of the subject of law were articulated; examined from the theoretical framework of education in human rights. This analysis pointed out the need to develop transformative education that contributes to preventing serious human rights violations in the region. The conclusion is that democracy, memory and the formation of the subject of law are central axes of human rights education and need to be addressed jointly.
