| Disgrifiad: | This commentary is based on the historical research papers by Dr. Elizet Payne Iglesias regarding the colonial theme of pearl exploitation in Latin America. Also, this synthesis is made from an alternative perspective to the proposal in the historiography of Dr. Payne, since it analyzes the tensions created by the supposed “greed” related to the figure of the European conqueror during the extraction of gems (pearls) in the colonies of the New World. |
