Challenge-Based Learning: A Pedagogical Mediation Experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training

Beschreibung:This article presents a learning experience implemented at the ColegioTécnico Professional de Pavas, within the technical program in advertisingdesign, aimed at bringing students closer to real-world contexts throughchallenge-based learning. The proposal transforms the classroom intoa fictitious company where students respond to requests from real orsimulated clients, developing design projects that integrate technical,soft, and creative skills. This methodology is grounded in a competency-based curriculum approach and seeks to prepare individuals capableof responding to the demands of the labor market. The results show improvementsin students’ confidence, communication, and ability to applyknowledge in authentic situations. Additionally, the experience fosterslinks with companies, opening opportunities for internships and futureemployability. The strategy demonstrates the value of learning throughpractice, connecting education with real life.
