Descripción: | Quince Duncan's work has been distinguished with national and international awards, acknowledging his contribution through his short stories and novels. However, there is a strand of the author's work as a critic, literary theorist and essayist that has not been examined in a consistent and detailed manner, especially in his Afro-realist proposal. This trend has been seen in a simplified way by literary critics, a situation that has hindered an in-depth study of Afro-Latin American literature. Therefore, a research of Duncan's theoretical background is carried out, in order to know the roots of Afro-Realism, through the review of texts based on the work done by the author throughout his career, whose scope addresses different fields: educational, legislative, political, political policy and literary criticism. |
