Descripción:As with significant events and processes in human history, the birth of geography as a science and the development of its early stages required a process of adaptation and transformation. The pioneers in this field recognized the conditions they encountered from the very inception of the professional career in geography and did what was within their reach to achieve its approval and subsequent rapid consolidation. This paper aims to take readers back, particularly to the 1970s, a decade renowned worldwide for its unleashing of the human spirit in all kinds of creations and expressions across various fields cultivated by humanity. During this period, geography in Costa Rica was no exception.
