Management of Hospital Classrooms in the Northern Zone of Chile

| Disgrifiad: | Purpose. This study examines the management processes of hospital classrooms operated by an educational corporation in Chile, which oversees nine institutions. These classrooms provide educational services to children and young people who are ill, hospitalized, or undergoing medical treatment at home. Methodology. The qualitative research uses phenomenological design, collecting testimonies from five professionals with experience in hospital classrooms. Discussion. The analysis focuses on the operation of hospital classrooms, where completing the required curriculum is a key goal. Key components of effective management include consistent teaching practices, a clear organizational structure, and well-defined staff roles. Conclusions. Hospital classrooms are characterized by flexibility and the implementation of diverse learning methodologies. Their organization is guided by constructivist principles, supported by clear leadership and structured guidelines. Education in hospital settings is essential to ensuring the academic continuity of student-patients. |
