Description:This article aims to recognize the contributions of the Arhuaca worldview in a reconfiguration of the economic and development model established in Colombia and, in the form of relationships, their conception of the territory and the relationships established there with others and nature. This expresses the urgent need to give way to new ways of perceiving the world and life as a complex network of interdependent relationships for the well-being of communities and the planet. In addition, it responds to the developmental discourse that is imposed and spread hegemonically in the West. Firstly, a review of sources on this economic and development model in the West is made, then its implications on the dynamics that occur in the territories, and subsequently those proposed by the Arhuacos from their worldview.
