Descripción:The Moxotó river watershed is located in the Brazilian semiarid region. According to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), the semiarid region would be one of the Brazilian areas which would experience more future climatic alterations caused by anthropic activities. Using the statistical test Mann-Kendal is perfect for detecting tendencies in series of climate data. The Mann-Kendal test was applied in a temporal sequence from 1930 to 2014, the rainfall data was obtained from 32 meteorological stations (APAC – Agency from Pernambuco of water and climate), which was distributed all over the watershed. The main purposes of this research are identifying possible tendencies in a sequence of data precipitation, and recognizing the temporal concentration of precipitation in order to determine the rainy months of the study area.
