Omschrijving:The Gutenberg Festival was a celebration promoted by the typographers’ guild of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to honor the memory of the inventor of the printing press. This article tells the story of these celebrations to show how they served to strengthen the identity of the typography workers and encourage the creation of new artistic and intellectual productions that honored the person honored. It also explains why they stopped being celebrated as public holidays and the attempts that were made to revive them. The information has come from the newspapers of the time La Prensa (1907-1910), El Nuevo Tiempo (1911-1919), Excelsior (1921-1923), La Regeneración (1920) and El Cronista (1913-1930).
