First record of the marine fish Taractichthys steindachneri (Perciformes, Bramidae) in El Salvador

| বিবরন: | The fish Taractichthys steindachneri is distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific Ocean, while in the Eastern Pacific Ocean it is restricted to the southern Gulf of California, in Mexico. However, in November of the year 2020, its presence was recorded for the first time in bycatch of artisanal fishery off the coast of El Salvador. This may be due to the cooling of marine surface waters caused by the La Niña phenomenon. |
