| Descripció: | After six years of the physical death of Chavela Vargas, it is impossible todeny her notoriety in the artistic field, her transgression to female roles inthe early XX century and her relationship with influential artists, aspects thathave been developed in her biographies; even so, studies that explain theevolution of the singer as a character within a Mexican cultural sphere arenonexistent. This article allows to rescue the main milestones in her life andher mythification as an artistic and cultural character. |
