Descripción:This article presents the results of a research study conducted in the Data Analysis course offered by the School of Professional Secretarial Studies at Universidad Nacional during the first semester of 2025. The aim was to analyze students’ perceptions of learning Microsoft Power BI through the dimensions of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study adopted a qualitative and descriptive approach, as it sought to describe how students interpret and assign meaning to the experience of learning a new technological tool. The study population consisted of a group of 24 students who participated in a focus group as the primary data collection technique. Among the main findings, it was observed that the perceived ease of use and usefulness led students to recognize Power BI’s practical value and motivated them to continue using it, as they associated it with employment opportunities and professional growth. The study concludes that, beyond the dimensions of the TAM, pedagogical mediation plays a key role in shaping students’ perceptions of learning about a new technological tool.
