Kuvaus:The methodological approach is fundamental in any research process, since the development of the information gathering processes allows the adequate systematic construction of results that meet the objectives. In this article, it centralizes on the methodological tool of the focus group, which has demonstrated it is usefulness as a research technique in differents contexts and for multiple disciplines, however, the literature on its methodological development in the field of Educational Administration has been limited. Therefore, we seek to reflect on the theoretical-methodological proposal where the processes of organization and planning of the focus group are detailed and makes a reflection from the first workshop executed. That was raised within the research carried out by the staff of the Educational Administration career at Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) and Colegio de Licenciados y Profesores en Letras, Filosofía, Ciencias y Artes (Colypro) for the analysis of management and quality indicators with educational administrators
