Descripción:ABSTRACT Title: Characterization of pea nodulation under three treatments in La Angelina Cartago. Introduction: The pea (Pisum sativum L), is a legume plant that makes an important nutritional and biological contribution to the ecosystem, due to the symbiosis it performs with Rhizobium bacteria, which fix nitrogen to the plant, however, agriculture has a Great need to implement sustainable technologies that improve the biological area and the environment. Hence the need to evaluate the nodulation of pea (Pisum sativum L) cultivation, under three treatments in the Alto de Ochomogo region of Cartago. Methods: Eighteen pea plants (Pisum sativum L) were chosen to carry out the evaluation with 3 different treatments (6 per treatment), treatment A, in which it is sand-type soil; treatment B (andisol soil), in which fertilizer of 58 grams was added, fractionated in 3 applications, and in the case of treatment C, it was used as a control in the trial to sow the seed, but no type of fertilizer was added. Results: In the process of obtaining results, it was obtained that the highest active nodulation in treatment C with 79.72% reflecting and with an inactivity nodulation of 21.53%. In addition, in treatment A it was obtained as a result of the active nodulation of 71.16%, inactive nodulation of 28.84% in the amount of nodulation, which reflects that the protein called leghemoglobin is not working in the ideal way, due to the limitation in organic matter in the soil. Likewise, in treatment C (control), a greater root mass (2.34 ± 1.01), air (5.52 ± 2.01), and nodules (1.34 ± 4.3063) are obtained. Conclusions: It is concluded that in the presence of nitrogen it is diminished with the process of activation of nodules, therefore, the number of nodulations is less, and the production of biomass is affected.
