Description:The study aimed to determine the contribution of human resource management factors to the competitiveness of SMEs. The sample consisted of 206 SMEs, collected through the Global Competitiveness Project (GCP) during the first half of 2019. The data were analyzed using a hierarchical multiple regression model. Evidence indicates that in-company training and compensation systems influence the competitiveness of SMEs. The study has implications for SME owners, who are advised to pay attention to these factors to significantly enhance their competitiveness.
