Descripción:Grocery stores face threats from the competition they wage against convenience stores. A study was carried out in Tecate, B.C. Mexico with the objective of determining if they have management capacity, a variable of the micro level of Systemic Competitiveness and its relation with the age of the business and the academic level of the owner. It is a quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study, with a 95% confidence level and 5% error. The owners indicated that they have management capacity showing a weak relationship with the academic level of the owner and none with the seniority of the business.
