Descripción:This article examines the attitudes and practices of the teaching staff at the State Distance University (UNED) regarding science dissemination. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive approach, an online questionnaire was administered to a sample of teachers who engaged in research during 2021. The main motivators for dissemination were the desire to bring scientific knowledge to diverse audiences and personal satisfaction. Perceived challenges included time constraints, lack of funding, and insufficient recognition of these activities within merit systems. These insights provide a valuable perspective on the obstacles UNED must overcome to make science more accessible to the public.
