Descripción:This research aims to examine the meanings constructed from the official discourse of the "PACE"  program in the university education of vulnerable students. To achieve this, a qualitative approach is used to review six Chilean ministerial documents related to the PACE Program, finding among the main findings that the PACE Program stands out for rhetorically articulating around five content categories. Based on these results, the conclusions emphasize the importance of considering the restrictions and distortions that a demand-driven funding model imposes on the actual implementation of an ethically inspired affirmative action policy, such as PACE.
