Descripción:Human mobility is a tangible activity today; however, despite its recognition in various instruments as a human right, its enforceability has remained a challenge. Therefore, it is necessary to shed light on what has happened in Michoacán, Mexico, with the aim of addressing the situation of internally displaced persons. To achieve this, the development of a methodology aimed at creating a law to address this situation is being shared. Furthermore, the work is considered relevant as it represents a collaborative effort from various sectors to eradicate the absence of a regulatory framework addressing forced displacement in Michoacán. In April 2022, the decree to create the Interinstitutional Committee for the Attention of Forced Displacement was published. Subsequently, sessions were held with the presence of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Human Security Observatories, the Migration Policy Unit, Doctors Without Borders, among other stakeholders. The result of the exchange of ideas generated in each meeting has strengthened the initiative that the Governor of the State will present to the local Legislative Power, which will be responsible for giving legal life to a body that addresses the treatment of internally displaced persons in Michoacán.
