Descripción:This paper provides an overview of the findings from a research study on Corporate Social Responsibility, focusing on five medium- and large-sized private organizations in Costa Rica and their surrounding communities. Through semi-structured interviews and focus groups conducted with representatives from various companies and community organizations, the dialogue processes between both parties were analyzed to identify and prioritize the most pressing needs. Additionally, the impact of coordinated efforts in generating meaningful changes in terms of development and sustainability was assessed. Overall, the main conclusion is the need to foster more collaborative dialogues and initiatives that contribute to the social, economic, and environmental development of local communities.
