| Descripción: | Introduction: The review aims to know the development and contribution to the guarantees of social protection in the Colombian Amazon area as a perspective from interculturality, likewise, to identify the beliefs and practices developed in the rural territories that comprise it, aimed at the protection and promotion of occupational health, within the framework of the contextualization of the health situation and the formulation of policies at the national level with the characterization of the empirical studies carried out. Objective: to describe experiences in the development and contribution in the provision of health services, according to the interculturality of the General System of Social Security in Health - SGSSS in the rural territories of the Amazon region, Colombia, 2021. Methodology: an analytical review of the bibliographic material of research articles published in the Scielo, Redalyc, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science and Google Scholar databases was carried out. Results: The importance of the population's own health practices, their relationship with the magical/religious sphere and the way of treating diseases in relation to their origin, where it is necessary that they be involved in the Colombian health model, to reduce the gaps in care and the effective enjoyment of the population's right to health, is evident. Conclusions: intercultural health is an important strategy to guarantee the right to health of indigenous peoples and other ethnic groups, as well as to promote dialogue and respect between the different cultures that coexist in the country. |
