বিবরন:n this paper we review the sociohistorical role played by the curriculum in Costa Rican society during the nineteenth, twentieth and early decades of the present century, as an ideological tool to disseminate key, develop and consolidate a project exercise of power by the predominant route of consensus and legitimacy. Clearly, the curriculum is closely related to the role that hegemonic groups attribute to education in society, so they can raise the possibility of identifying and trying to clarify the fundamental guidelines of educational discourse by analyzing curricular and vice-versa.
