Projects and Quality Initiatives for the Improvement of the Students’ Academic Profile of the English Teaching Major for First and Second Cycles at UNED

Opis:This article describes six initiatives launched from 2017 to 2022 for students majoring in English Teaching for I and II Cycles at Universidad Estatal a Distancia. The following are the initiatives aimed at fostering students’ academic profile: Level Up Course, Strategic Plan for Academic Improvement, Conversation Clubs, Food for Thought, Academic Integrity Campaign and TOEIC Preparation Course (test-taking skills for an English standardized test). The aforementioned initiatives not only intend to satisfy the needs identified through an improvement plan, but also to satisfy our students’ real needs, such as language enhancement and the consolidation of fundamental skills.
